Yesterday in e.l.a we went over a section of the newspaper. It was the classified section. People/ Businesses put adds in the paper to advertise something. Some types of things you can advertise about are pets/ houses for sale, vans/trucks/snowmobiles/auto for sale, unfurnished/furnished apartments and a whole lot more!

Today in ELA, we did another ad in the news paper.
This time it was the classified section.
The classified Section is where is tells you things
like:
Houses for sale
Farms for sale
Trucks and Vans for sale
things like that

Grammar

In grammar today we learned about pronouns. Pronoun is a word that replaces a noun or noun phrases. Her are some pronouns: I , we, me , my , mine , you , yours, her.

EX: I am going with my friend Carmen to her house.

The pronouns in that sentence are I, my, her.

How Old Is Old?

I think 85 is old, but that could just be my opinion. Some other people might not think that. What do you think?

When your old you are in a old folks home. You need help being cared for, you also loose your memory. You loose your memory because you have been around for so long you can't remember anything. When you are old you sometimes start getting Alzheimer's (Alzheimer's is when you can't remember anything).

Another reason is that they have to use a cane or a walker. When you get 85 you are weak and your legs get to weak. So it is so hard to walk when your 85. So you either need help to walk or you can barely walk yourself.

When you are 85 you also start loosing your hearing. You can't hear very well and you need people to speak up. You sometimes have a hearing aid to help you hear. But sometimes people still can't hear very well.

There were some of the reasons I think 85 is old.

Spelling

Today in e.l.a we did spelling. it is a review unit of the units one to five. We didn't have a pretest because its 100 words. On the real test Mr.R wiil pick 25 out of the 100 and we wright those words. Then we do work out of our spelling textbook.
