Math

In math we are learning about translations. Translations are done on a coordinate plane. A coordinate plane is a vertical line and a horizontal line that are intersected at zero. The lines have negative and positive numbers. When you translate something it doesn't change it stays the same shape, size and figure. You just move it from left to right and up or down. Here are some examples:


This is how a translation is written as a question:

A(3,4) , B(1,1) , C(4,1)

Translation (-4,-2)


Here are four examples of translations in real life:

Washing windows, puck sliding on the ice, the belt on a treadmill, and a Frisbee gliding in the air.
